Simon is an abstract artist who uses his spontaneity and ability to create dynamic and energetic art that is based on the emotions, colours and sounds of moments in time. Using the canvas to capture the fluid strokes and interpretations of what his mind delivers, based on the experience he visualises.
At school he was not a traditionally gifted academic, rather spending lunchtimes learning guitar and art with his art teacher. After studying art and photography at college, he worked for many years in London as a designer for many large brands and music-based clients such as Victoria Beckham and Oasis. In the early 2000’s he built his own agency which ran for 17 years. This experience, whilst rewarding, was mentally challenging, to the point where he had a breakdown through stress in his mid 40’s.
This is where Simon’s art journey truly began, as he chose to research and practice mindfulness and meditation which steered him into picking up his paints and camera again. He had found what made him truly happy- expressing his inner thoughts through canvas, paint and photography. Which is portrayed beautifully in every piece he creates.
